Sziget Festival Location

Starting out as a small festival for University students back in 1993, Sziget Festival has now become Europe’s biggest festival attracting up to half a million visitors every year. It's no wonder why it's called the “Island of Freedom”: here you can totally be yourself, let your true spirit shine and party like no one’s watching.

The Sziget Festival takes place on Óbudai Island, also known as Hajógyári Island, in Budapest. The island is 108 hectares in size and is located just north of the city centre, so it's easy to get to the festival grounds from different areas of the city.
