Social Media Dream Job in Budapest

Ultimate Budapest is looking for one lucky social media content creator to spend a month in Hungary's capital with us! We'll provide accommodation, a living scholarship, and free entry to loads of tours and activities - all you have to do is capture and create content while you're here!

Job description:

Fall in love with Budapest - and then document it! There are two parts to this job. 

Part 1: Content Collection

We'll send you out on the company's dime so that you can grab the content of our experiences in action! What kinds of activities, you may ask? Some of our most popular events are ax throwing, wine tasting, target practice, thermal bath parties, and boat parties. But you can see our full list of offers here !

And of course, when something catches your eye while you're out exploring Budapest, capture that too!

Part 2: Content Creation

Now it's time to loose your creativity!

Turn that content into engagement gold! You'll mainly be focusing on creating Tiktok gems and captivating Instagram stories. Want to propose additional content ideas? We're all ears! And of course, our Content Manager will have weekly brainstorm sessions / check ins with you to make sure you're fully supported.

It'll be your job to experience Budapest to its fullest while capturing it all.

Requirements:

• Native level English

• Experience creating captivating Tiktoks / Instagram stories

• An outgoing and creative personality

• Be available for one month starting between mid June - early July of 2022

How it Works:

The contest has 3 rounds.

1. Application

   • 100-word essays on why we should pick you! (The more creative, the better!)

   • Link us to your socials you're now proud of / active on. No need to be a mega influencer. We just want to know you know how to make content that gets people talking.

Applications will be open from Jan 24 - Feb 20. Applicants selected for the next round will be notified on March 4.

2. Video

   • Selected applicants will be asked to submit a Tiktok (max 1 minute) to show off their skills. The video will be judged on creativity, relevance, and shareable qualities.

Selected applicants will have from Mar 4 - 13 to create and post their videos. Applicants selected for the next round will be notified on March 23.

3. Final Interview

   • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a final interview. We'll be working together for a month after all! This is our chance to pick your brain about how you'd show off Budapest and see if you'd be a good fit for the team.

Interviews will take place from Mar 28 - Apr 1. The successful candidate will be notified between April 15 - 30.

About Ultimate Budapest

Ultimate Budapest is a project created by a team of experienced tourism professionals, working together to create a one-stop shop for the most memorable activities and experiences Budapest has to offer.

Important Information

Conditions of the Position

Ultimate Budapest cannot provide sponsorship, so applicants must ensure that they meet the requirements to enter Hungary without a visa or be able to sort their visa before the position's start date.

The candidate must have insurance for the duration of the position. Acceptable examples of insurance include the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or private travel health insurance valid in Hungary that covers accidents and illness (including COVID related illness).

Position Dates

The position is for a 4 week period, beginning at some point between mid June and early July. The exact start date is to be determined jointly by the candidate and Ultimate Budapest.

Notification of Applicants

Applicants will be informed by email of their status after each round. The successful candidate after the third round will have up to 48 hours to accept the position. If the candidate does not respond or the position is declined, the position will go to the next most suitable candidate.
