Originally built in 1913, and reconstructed after the War in 1945, Kazinczy utca synagogue is located right in the heart of Budapest's old Jewish Ghetto and boasts some of the best examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Hungary. Walls and the ceilings are decorated with stained mosaic windows which let in natural light, making it probably the most beautifully illuminated synagogue in Europe.
Why not combine your visit with some of the Jewish delicacies served at Hanna Garden Restaurant, located within the Synagogue's complex.
