About Free Buda Castle Walking Tour

Meet us with our blue Free Tour Flag at the bottom of the Castle hill, in Buda, on Batthyány square near the metro station and let’s walk up to the top to see the treasure box of the Buda Castle district, a different city inside of the Hungarian capital! We start with admiring the beautiful view of the Hungarian Parliament building, since it is right opposite our Free Buda walking tour’s meeting point. The uphill walk to the top of the cca. 65 meters tall Castle hill on some stairs and streets takes about 15-20 minutes with some short stops during the way. This free walking tour is suitable for youngsters, the elderly and families with kids (baby strollers) as well and is a good sequel after taking our Free Budapest Tour of the other side of the river Danube, Pest. However, you can take the Free Buda Castle Tour before or on its own, without the Free Budapest Tour, too, since we give you a small history lesson in the beginning of all our free Budapest walking tours, so that you can see, hear and put everything in context.
