How to Spend a Rainy Day in Budapest

Don’t get us wrong--we love autumn in Budapest. But we could do without the soggy, cold weather. But just because the sun isn’t shining doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do! Here are some options to help you do a rainy day in Budapest right!
Museums
Budapest is overflowing with museums--and they’re not always the ones you would expect, you know. If you’re looking for a classic museum experience, definitely check out the Fine Arts Museum in Heroes’ Square, or the Hungarian National Gallery (why not add it on to the end of your Buda Castle Walking Tour?).
However, if you’re looking for something more interactive, Budapest has that too! Head to the Pálinka Museum and learn about this iconic Hungarian spirit--and spend some time tasting it, too of course! If you want to take home the perfect photo as a souvenir, you can go to the Sweets and Selfies Museum! Ditch the gloomy weather by snapping the perfect pic among these whimsical and colorful exhibits. And at the end, you can even enjoy a Unicorn Shake at the bar!
Indoor Activities
Another way to dodge the rain is to take advantage of indoor activities in Budapest. Feel like singing your blues away? Try booking a private karaoke room! Each one is themed, and you’ll have your own private stage to shine like the star you are!
If you’re itching for something active to do, why not practice your aim? You can feel the power of a firearm with gun shooting, or channel your inner lumberjack with axe throwing.
Or, if puzzle solving is more your thing, you can book an escape room. These interactive and immersive puzzle games are the perfect challenge to get your mind off the rain, and to keep you dry! Our favorites are the Game of Thrones or Harry Potter rooms, but there are plenty of themes for you to choose from!
